Accessibility

The site has been created using semantic XHTML and CSS and complies with the WAI Web Content Accessibility Guidelines to at least level AA. Below are some of the things we have addressed in order to make this website accessible to as many users as possible.

This website is viewable in IE6, IE7, IE8, Firefox 2 & 3+, Safari on a PC, and Safari 3, 4 & 5, Firefox 2 & 3+ on a Mac, with no noticeable degradation of experience.

‘Skip to main content’ and ‘Skip to accessibility policy’ links are at the head of every page (they become active when using tab key or screen reader).

We have ensured correct keyboard tabbing order of the entire navigation system, for those who prefer a keyboard to a mouse
Two access keys have been added for convenience. 0 is assigned to the skip to main content and 1 is assigned to this accessibility policy page.

Text resizing works correctly on all pages to two increments.
