Catalysing change

Institutional care has devastating consequences for children: denying them a voice and taking away their right to grow up in a loving, protective family environment. We are playing a catalytic role in the elimination of institutional care globally.

  • Political Will

We work alongside government representatives and policy makers from across the political spectrum to ensure the interests of children are put first.

  • Know-How

Our projects demonstrate how children’s lives can be transformed by closing institutions and supporting children into stable, loving families and family-like environments.

  • Capacity

Drawing on over 20 years of experience, our training programmes help build the capacity of government and civil society to put the interests of children first.

  • Funding

We use our experience and reputation to leverage  funding from national and international organisations, catalysing child-protection reform.

Global advocacy

Our mission is to be the catalyst for the global elimination of institutional care of children. To achieve this we work together with civil society organisations, governments and funders and in partnership with children, their families and communities to develop institution-free child protection systems.

The key focus of our advocacy is to change the hearts and minds of policy makers and others who have authority to act and take decisions that will improve children’s lives.
