UK aid from the Department for International Development

The UK Government provides significant support to Anglof Regional Foundation & Humanitarian Relief Agency (ARFHRA)’s work across Africa. By working together to deliver sustainable change for children confined to orphanages and vulnerable families affected by poverty, we are helping the UK Government fulfil their commitment to the Global Goals for Sustainable Development and to ‘leaving no one behind’.

UK Government funding has supported us to roll out a family based child protection system across 9 states of Sudan enabling 3,651 babies to be cared for in families. Further UK Government funding through the UK Aid Match scheme, is also supporting our work in East and Southern Africa, enabling nearly 100,000 children to access family based care services in communities, completing the closure of 11 orphanages and delivering capacity building support to local partners in Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Sudan.

Anglof Regional Foundation & Humanitarian Relief Agency (ARFHRA) is fully compliant with the UK Government’s transparency requirements, sharing data on UK aid funded projects through the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI).
